We know that physical activity is beneficial at any age.
Remember, it’s simply not true that as we get older we automatically lose
muscle and strength. We lose it because we don’t use it! If you live in a
bungalow and never climb stairs then you will lose your ability to climb
stairs - it’s as simple as that. You can however re-gain that muscle and
strength by becoming active. Go for it!
Men suffer
from “android obesity” – the classic fat around the tummy and waist. Unlike
the female “gynoid obesity” this is dangerous to vital organs. A fat bottom
and thighs on a women does not affect her heart and lungs. A huge stomach on
a man takes up vital space that other organs need. Why give up that space –
get active!
A young
healthy active woman is investing in her future. If you choose to be inactive
and to binge drink and smoke, then you will unfortunately suffer in later
life. Why put your loved ones through it? Be realistic about how you live
your life and see what small changes you can start to make straight away!
